For centuries, a variety of herbs and spices have been associated with the relief of joint pain and inflammation that can cause rheumatoid arthritis and other forms of arthritis. We have selected only the best ingredients for our feel-good tea: Here is a quick primer describing the herbs from the STAUDT® herb garden.

The fruit of the acerola is known as a ‘power fruit’: It is the most vitamin-rich fruit in the world and is one of the foods with the highest natural vitamin C content. Vitamin C serves as an important catalyst for bone and tissue building.

Did you know? Vitamin C wirkt außerdem positiv gegen Faltenbildung – nicht schlecht...

The rosehip is used in traditional medicine due to its anti-inflammatory effect. Several studies have shown that rosehips reduced the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and reduce hip, knee and wrist pain amongst osteoarthritis patients by about a third.

Did you know? We don’t make jam, but we can highly recommend rosehip jam! The healthy fruits of the rosehip should be plucked only after the first frost, as the vitamin C content is highest then, and the pulp already emerges when the fruit pressed together.

Chamomile is one of the oldest medicinal herbs known to humanity. Traditionally, chamomile was used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, mild and healing medicine. In addition, the chamomile flower is effective for arthritis, back pain, bedsores and stomach cramps.

Did you know? Camomile has a variety of positive effects. So you don’t have to worry about driving a car, even if you've enjoyed the tea extensively and have a high chamomile content in your body!

A KISS FROM HIBISCUSStudies suggest that daily consumption of hibiscus may benefit people with slightly elevated blood pressure. A few studies have shown that hibiscus tea can prevent cancer, probably due to the antioxidant effect.

Did you know? Hibiscus tea is made from the deep magenta sepal of the roselle flower. In Hawaii, the flower of the hibiscus is also worn as a hair accessory.

Lemongrass is a plant with thin, long leaves that is native to many Asian countries. Due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, lemongrass helps with arthritis, rheumatism, osteoarthritis, gout and other types of joint pain.

Did you know? As the name implies, lemongrass smells like lemon, but tastes milder and sweeter.

The main health benefits of lavender are its ability to reduce stress, improve mood, promote restful sleep, reduce skin irritation, prevent infections, reduce inflammation, eliminate dandruff and, last but not least, relieve stomach problems.

Did you know? Lavender symbolizes joie de vivre. When you walk through lavender fields, perhaps together with a loved one, you’re always reminded to enjoy life and not lose sight of the beautiful things even when the going gets tough.

Also called ‘cheese poplar’ in Germany. Like many wild plants, the mallow has a long history of medical use. Due to its high mucilage content, mallow is ideal for soothing the skin, especially for inflammation, whether in the urinary, digestive or respiratory tract.

Did you know? In Spain, they have an old adage that says, ‘A kitchen garden and mallow, sufficient medicines for a home!’

CARDAMOM: A NATURAL, HEALTHY WAY TO BOOST WEIGHT LOSSAn Indian ‘slimming spice’ which is often used in the kitchen. The health benefits of this member of the ginger family include gastrointestinal protection, cholesterol control, an anti-cancer effect, relief for cardiovascular problems and improved blood circulation.

Did you know? Cardamom is said to have a breath-freshening effect. Particularly if you’ve been eating garlic, you can use the spice quickly and effectively to prevent bad breath, so you are ready for the next kiss.

    Frische Pfefferminzblätter
Durch die krampflösende Wirkung eignet sich die Pfefferminze zur Linderung von Schmerzen, die auf Durchblutungsstörungen zurückzuführen sind.

Did you know? Anders als im eigenen Garten angelegte Kräuter, haben Kräuter in Apothekenqualität besonders hohe Wirkstoffwerte.

... make a unique vitamin mix for enhanced wellness in everyday life!

The active ingredient content in a plant is not always the same and depends mainly on the location, climate, harvest time and processing of the plant. It’s obvious when opening the teabag: Pharmaceutical-grade teas differ drastically from cheaper teas in terms of the colour and size of the portions. Stems, leaves, etc. are mixed in with cheaper teas, while the STAUDT® tea uses only the pure flowers, as these alone contain the essential oils and thus the active ingredients.
