For centuries, a variety of herbs and spices have been associated with the relief of joint pain and inflammation that can cause rheumatoid arthritis and other forms of arthritis. We have selected only the best ingredients for our feel-good tea: Here is a quick primer describing the herbs from the STAUDT® herb garden.
ACEROLA CHERRIES ARE GREAT FOR YOUR BODY
The fruit of the acerola is known as a ‘power fruit’: It is the most vitamin-rich fruit in the world and is one of the foods with the highest natural vitamin C content. Vitamin C serves as an important catalyst for bone and tissue building.
BRIGHT RED: THE ROSEHIP
The rosehip is used in traditional medicine due to its anti-inflammatory effect. Several studies have shown that rosehips reduced the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and reduce hip, knee and wrist pain amongst osteoarthritis patients by about a third.
‘CHILL’ WITH CHAMOMILE
Chamomile is one of the oldest medicinal herbs known to humanity. Traditionally, chamomile was used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, mild and healing medicine. In addition, the chamomile flower is effective for arthritis, back pain, bedsores and stomach cramps.
A KISS FROM HIBISCUSStudies suggest that daily consumption of hibiscus may benefit people with slightly elevated blood pressure. A few studies have shown that hibiscus tea can prevent cancer, probably due to the antioxidant effect.
FUN WITH LEMONGRASS
Lemongrass is a plant with thin, long leaves that is native to many Asian countries. Due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, lemongrass helps with arthritis, rheumatism, osteoarthritis, gout and other types of joint pain.
LAVENDER FOR BEAUTIFUL DREAMS
The main health benefits of lavender are its ability to reduce stress, improve mood, promote restful sleep, reduce skin irritation, prevent infections, reduce inflammation, eliminate dandruff and, last but not least, relieve stomach problems.
MALLOW KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY
Also called ‘cheese poplar’ in Germany. Like many wild plants, the mallow has a long history of medical use. Due to its high mucilage content, mallow is ideal for soothing the skin, especially for inflammation, whether in the urinary, digestive or respiratory tract.
CARDAMOM: A NATURAL, HEALTHY WAY TO BOOST WEIGHT LOSSAn Indian ‘slimming spice’ which is often used in the kitchen. The health benefits of this member of the ginger family include gastrointestinal protection, cholesterol control, an anti-cancer effect, relief for cardiovascular problems and improved blood circulation.
Frische Pfefferminzblätter
Durch die krampflösende Wirkung eignet sich die Pfefferminze zur Linderung von Schmerzen, die auf Durchblutungsstörungen zurückzuführen sind.
... make a unique vitamin mix for enhanced wellness in everyday life!
The active ingredient content in a plant is not always the same and depends mainly on the location, climate, harvest time and processing of the plant. It’s obvious when opening the teabag: Pharmaceutical-grade teas differ drastically from cheaper teas in terms of the colour and size of the portions. Stems, leaves, etc. are mixed in with cheaper teas, while the STAUDT® tea uses only the pure flowers, as these alone contain the essential oils and thus the active ingredients.
